2018 Academic Awards

The Varsity Volleyball program would like to recognize our players for their outstanding academic accomplishment for the 2018 season. The varsity program received the KVA (Kansas Volleyball Association) Team Academic Award with an average GPA of 3.6 We would also like to recognize 5 individual athletes for their personal accomplishments. Volleyball All League 2018

The Hornets want to give a big shout out to Ellie Shank, Emily Kemp, and Carlie Claussen on making the All League Team this year. Ellie was 1st team and Emily and Carlie received Honorable Mention. Thank you ladies for all your hard work and leadership this year.

Season End

A strong fight to finish the season. The Lady Hornets played Hays in the first round of substate and were successful in winning the match in two games to advance to the substate championship. Senior Night!

The Lady Hornets had senior night last night. Where they had an amazing evening going 2-0. Their first opponent was Ark City and the Hornets came out strong and got the job done in 2. (25-19, 25-15) After a great senior recognition the Hornets took on Goddard Eisenhower. The girls were focused and ready to play.

5-0 over the Weekend

Positive weekend  The Hornets played in the El Dorado Tournament this weekend. They had a really successful day and come out 5-0. They worked hard, communicated  well, and stayed focused throughout the whole day. Tough Defeat @ Home

The Hornets played Andover and Maize South last night. The Hornets started really strong with a quick lead against Andover. They fought hard and gave it their all but we defeat in 2. The Hornets traveled to Maize on Saturday for a tournament that consisted of 9 teams. They played Derby, Maize South, Kapaun, Newton, and Derby again after pool play.
