VALLEY CENTER– The Valley Center Boys Basketball Team lost 68-64 to the Northwest Grizzlies in the 1st round of sub-state action tonight. A tie game with 45 seconds left the Hornets couldn’t get a stop. Trailing by 2 with 30 seconds left a Myles Thompson 3 rimmed in and out. Northwest hit free throws late to hold onto the victory.

Valley was led by Thompson with 18 points. Trenton Driskill had 13 points and 9 rebounds. Jakob Byrne had 12 points on 4/5 shooting from 3.

Valley Center varsity boys finishes the year 6-15. The JV boys finished the season 16-6 and the Freshmen finished 9-11
