KINGMAN– The Valley Center Boys Basketball Team started the season with a win over Conway Springs 52-41 in the Eagle Classic Thursday night.  Jakob Byrne lead the Hornets with 6 3-pointers and 20 points.  Josh Dessenberger and Gabe Phillips each had 8 points and Marion Ponds had 12 rebounds to lead the hustle stat categories.

Madrigals perform at first ever Hometown Christmas

Friday evening (Dec. 6) was the first ever Hometown Christmas Kick-off in downtown VC. the Madrigals performed along with the VC Jazz Band & Christmas Brass and area Church choirs.  the evening also featured Santa’s arrival and the lighting of the new city Christmas tree. It was a great hometown atmosphere with a large crowd.

Madrigals Day Tour includes Taping for KAKE-TV Christmas Special

The Madrigals took a “day tour” and performed several Christmas programs. they performed in the Atrium in downtown Wichita in the morning, at a restaurant at lunch, at Crestview Country Club at noon and did the KAKE-TV taping in the afternoon.  The KAKE-TV Christmas Special will air Christmas day at 11:00 am.  

Madrigals Open the Christmas Season for B98 Radio for 5th year

The VCHS Madrigals were the official Choir to start the Christmas Music Season again this year for B98, Wichita’s official Christmas music station. The group performed on-air and recorded some customized Christmas jingles for the station.
