McAdams Park WICHITA– Payton Graham, Mason Burns and the Valley Center Hornets defense combined for a no-hitter tonight in an 11-0 win to open up regional action in the 5A Play-in game over Wichita Heights.

Myles Thompson had a 2-out RBI single in the 3rd and Jarred Newton had a 2-run double in the 4th to get the offense going for the Hornets.

Valley then tallied five runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught by Valley Center Hornets Varsity was led by Jarred Newton, Eli DeBaun, and Jesse Johnson, all driving in runs in the frame.

Payton Graham went six innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out seven and walking one.

The Hornets tallied 11 hits in the game. Gavin Adams, Johnson, Newton, and Myles Thompson each collected multiple hits. Thompson, Newton, Johnson, and Adams all had two hits.

The Hornets play Thursday against Bishop Carroll at 3:30pm on Thursday
