Eisenhower Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

The Hornets fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 13-7 loss to Eisenhower on Friday.

Despite the loss, Valley Center Hornets Varsity did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Eisenhower had 19 hits on the way to victory.

Emma Anderson took the loss for the Valley Center Hornets. She went six and two-thirds innings, allowing 13 runs on 18 hits and striking out one.

VC racked up 11 hits in the game. Brunton, Ostrom, Mallory Feather, and Lia Groves all had multiple hits. Brunton went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.

Game 2

Valley Center Hornets Varsity Drops Game To Eisenhower After Late Score

VC lost the lead late in a 12-7 defeat to Eisenhower on Friday. Eisenhower trailed 7-6 in the top of the fifth inning when an error scored two runs for Eisenhower.

Despite the loss, they did collect 16 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Eisenhower had 17 hits on the way to victory.

Cheyenne Blackwood took the loss on the mound. She allowed 16 hits and 12 runs over six and a third innings, striking out one.

VC tallied one home run on the day. Macy Ostrom put one out in the third inning.

The Hornets tallied 16 hits in the game. Ostrom, Blackwood, Grady, Anderson, and Lia Groves all had multiple hits. Grady, Blackwood, and Ostrom each collected three hits to lead the team.
