VCHS Blows Out Andover Thanks To Big Third Inning in the fist game on Friday night

Six runs in the third inning led VCHS Softball past Andover 11-1 on Friday.

Andover captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for Andover.

VCHS knotted the game up at one in the top of the second inning. Kaylee Burnett homered on the first pitch of the at bat in the second inning, scoring one run.

The Hornets took the lead for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third there was an error, scoring one run, Taylor Rowley doubled, driving in two runs, there was an error, scoring one run, and Ashlyn Jacobs singled, driving in one run.

They collected 12 hits. LaTaylah Perez, Rowley, Reagan Fischer, and Jacobs each collected multiple hits for VCHS. Perez went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the team.

Ashlyn Jacobs collected the W on the mount for the Hornets, while Emma Meyer was behind the dish.
