VCHS Run-Rules Andover to Clench the League Title
VCHS Varsity Softball scored four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was driven by a single by Ashley Thorne and a stolen base.
The Hornets had 13 hits in the game. Thorne, Alli Burke, and Ashlyn Jacobs each collected multiple hits. Burke and Thorne each managed three hits to lead VCHS. Hornets stole five bases during the game; Taylor Rowley led the way with two.
Kaylee Burnett was great on the mound and got the W.
The Hornets won AVCTL Div II League tonight. They will host Regionals on Monday. Games are at 3:00, 5:00, and 7:00 with the Hornets playing their first game at 5:00 vs. Newton.
