VCHS Varsity Softball Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over South

VCHS defeated South 11-1 thanks to a strong start.
The Hornets took an early lead in the first inning. With zero outs in the first inning Taylor Rowley drove in one run when she singled. They then scored four runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by LaTaylah Perez, a walk by Wylie Glover, and a single by Ashley Thorne.
Ashlyn Jacobs earned the win. She pitched five innings, surrendering one run, three hits, striking out five, and walking one.
Home runs came when Reagan Fischer homered in the fourth inning and Rowley homered in the fourth inning.
Perez, Rowley, Thorne, Fischer, and Kaylee Burnett each collected multiple hits.
